​For me, this one is honestly life-long.

 

I have always been passionate about limiting additives to my food, such as unnecessary coloring and excessively processed ingredients.​ As a child, I aspired to work for the FDA, where I imagined I would become a food quality inspector.

​

While in college, I learned a bit about soap making. I became mindful of what I put on my skin, and naturally my passion extended to skincare. The skin is the largest organ. If I care about eating organically, it only makes sense that I prefer natural and minimally-processed ingredients for my daily self-care. 

​

I started making products for myself at home, using ingredients right from the kitchen. I once made party favors for a friend's bridal shower and my little soaps were a huge hit! I received so much support and encouragement, I decided to start selling my creations. Eventually, it became part of my normal routines to curate themed packages based on my life's celebrations. I also traveled quite a lot, and I enjoyed making spa kits for myself each time I went on a luxury resort vacation overseas.

Years went by; life was lifing and I was growing in other areas. After some time, I dove into a research and development season for this business. Then just like that, I was well on the way! My clientele expanded and the demands kept coming in. With each request for a custom gift box, I spent time learning and adding new products to my line. I did this on and off while maintaining a career in a completely unrelated field.

I feel so fulfilled running NoveltyOils, and yet I was so unhappy at my corporate job. I dreaded the toxic environment and I couldn't wait to indulge in these products to unwind. As I began a divorce process, there was just no more room to continue carrying so much weight! I made a decision to stop just merely surviving what was obviously not serving me. I decided to fully embrace the self-care that I preach here, and I made drastic changes in my life. I started a complete rebirth!

I trademarked this line of products and got the brand registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. I have been slowly but surely establishing myself doing what I love to do, with care and diligence. It's a grind; I am still running solo, fulfilling orders, building and maintaining multiple sites, and growing the brand as I go. So you may see changes and transformations as the story unfolds. But in the end, rest assured that providing consistent self-care items and unique gifts is my primary focus. The essence of this store remains the same: hand-making tokens of love, in small batches, with premium ingredients.

 

This brand is classified as luxury because I invest myself in sourcing high-quality raw materials to formulate rich and nourishing products. This is my passion! I believe the profits will catch up over time, with your love and support. Eventually, I hope to bring a great team of professionals on board, and reach new heights, but only when the time is right.

 

Everyone deserves a dignified life. Self-care with a peace of mind should be attainable to all. I often say that my products are for anyone with skin! Luxurious relaxation should be available to indulge in right at home, just as much as it is at a 5-star resort.
